Google fixes Android Auto autoplay bug

Google has begun implementing a fix for an Android Auto issue where music would briefly play upon starting a vehicle, even when the autoplay setting was disabled. This bug caused brief, unwanted audio playback for users who preferred manual control over their media.

In addition to resolving the autoplay error, Google is introducing improvements to how the system handles media selection. Android Auto will no longer automatically select applications that the user has never used or has not used recently. The company is also testing a feature to allow users to quickly disable autoplay if the system detects a pattern of the user immediately pausing music upon connection.
