Google expands Android Auto media and gaming features

Google is expanding the multimedia and entertainment capabilities of Android Auto and Android Automotive OS. Following the introduction of native YouTube video support—which allows Full HD streaming while stationary—Google has moved its in-car gaming feature from beta to general availability. If the system detects a user frequently pausing music immediately after it starts, it will provide a one-touch notification to disable the function.

Technical refinements include a fix for a bug that caused cellular signal bars to disappear from the dashboard. To address display issues where Android Auto appears blurry on certain infotainment systems, users may be able to resolve the issue by adjusting video resolution settings to Full HD (1920x1080).
