Google identifies first smartphones compatible with Gemini Nano 4

Google has updated its developer documentation to identify the first smartphones compatible with Gemini Nano 4, the latest generation of its on-device AI model. The identified devices include Google’s Pixel 11 series—specifically the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold—as well as Samsung’s latest foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

To support Gemini Intelligence features, Google has outlined rigorous hardware and software requirements. Devices must possess at least 12GB of RAM, a qualified flagship processor, and advanced media performance capabilities. Software requirements include integration with AI Core using Gemini Nano v3 or higher, support for five operating system upgrades, and six years of security updates.

While Gemini Intelligence has already launched on Samsung’s foldables with automation support for over 40 applications, Google has introduced new features like Rambler and Proactive Assistance on the Pixel 11 series. It remains uncertain if older models, such as the Pixel 10 or upcoming Galaxy S26, will receive official support for these specific intelligence features.
