Google launches Search Profiles for publishers and creators

Google announced Search Profiles, a new feature that gives publishers and creators a dedicated, shareable page on Search to aggregate articles, videos and social‑media posts. The profiles can be accessed via the Knowledge Panel, by tapping a name in Discover, or through a direct URL, and can be customized with an avatar, bio, website and links to social or video platforms. Users who follow a profile are more likely to see its content in Google Discover.

The service will initially launch in the United States, with plans to expand to other markets. Google noted that similar automated pages already exist in Italy, but the new Search Profiles will require creators to have a sizable following on at least one major platform before they can claim and personalize a profile.
