Google opens first flagship store outside the U.S. in Tokyo
Google has opened its first flagship retail store outside the United States, located in the Omotesando district of Tokyo, Japan. Situated within the Tokyu Plaza Omokado, the Google Store Omotesando spans three floors and covers 1,158 square meters, making it larger than existing U.S. locations.
The facility offers a variety of services, including product demonstrations for the Pixel 11 series, Google Nest, and Fitbit devices, as well as technical support and in-store repairs. The store features specialized zones such as the 'Pixel Studio,' which utilizes Gemini AI to allow visitors to transform photos into various artistic styles, including ukiyo-e and plush toy aesthetics.
Additionally, the store hosts exhibitions and workshops. Partner brands are also represented, such as Casefinite, which has launched its 'The Frost Air Ultra' slim cases for the Pixel 11 series at the new location.
