Google Photos introduces AI digital wardrobe and interface updates

Google Photos is introducing new features aimed at enhancing user organization and personalization through artificial intelligence and interface updates.

Android users will receive an update to the Collections tab, allowing them to reorder or hide specific folders. This change is designed to help users manage clutter by separating personal albums from third-party application folders, such as those from WhatsApp or Instagram, providing a more intuitive navigation experience.

Additionally, the service is launching a digital wardrobe feature powered by AI. The tool analyzes a user's photo library from the past four years to identify, catalog, and organize clothing items. Once the digital wardrobe is created, users can assemble different outfits, save combinations, and use an “Experiment” function to virtually visualize looks. This feature is available on both Android and iOS devices.
