Google Search Console expands to track Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube posts

Google Search Console has added a new "Platform Properties" feature that lets owners of Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube accounts view how their social content appears in Google Search, Discover and Google News. The reports show queries that trigger a post, impressions, clicks and average rank, giving creators and marketers data that was previously only available on the platforms themselves.

The rollout is global and is already available to users in Taiwan, Hong Kong and France. No website is required; users verify ownership of a social‑media account and then add it as a property in Search Console. The data complements native platform analytics, but it does not report on in‑app views or interactions. Only the four listed platforms are supported, with no current plans for Facebook, Threads or Pinterest.
