Goran Minchev announces new Academy for public administration training

Goran Minchev, the Minister of Public Administration, has outlined the roadmap for establishing the Academy for Professional Training and Education of Administrative Staff. Speaking at a conference titled ‘Roadmap for the Academy for Professional Training and Education of Administrative Staff: A Common Mission’, Minchev emphasized that public administration reform requires more than just new laws; it necessitates professionals with the knowledge, integrity, and capacity to serve citizens effectively.

The Academy is intended to be a permanent mechanism for professional development rather than a temporary project. The Ministry is currently working on its institutional framework, organizational model, and training programs. The goal is for the Academy to begin operations in early 2027.

Jelena Mrdak, acting director of the Regional School of Public Administration (REPA), also addressed the conference, highlighting the importance of institutional cooperation. The partnership with REPA aims to connect domestic reform priorities with regional expertise and best practices to create a sustainable training system.
