Goran Minçev announces new reward and sanction system for public administration
Minister of Public Administration Goran Minçev has announced a new system of rewards and sanctions for the public administration. The implementation of the new law is set to begin on October 1.
Under the new framework, administrative employees will be rewarded for achieved results starting in 2027, while those who fail to fulfill their work duties will face sanctions. To facilitate this transition, competitions for 20 high-level leadership positions will be announced by the end of the year.
Minçev noted that while the necessary laws, decrees, and regulations are prepared, the full functioning of the system will require the harmonization of approximately 60 other laws in the coming months.
