Gorica to host 21st Okusi ob meji culinary festival in 2026

The 21st edition of the Okusi ob meji international culinary event is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 27, 2026, in Gorica. The event features 300 stalls from 50 different countries and is distributed across 17 traditional villages.

Emphasizing cross-border cooperation between Gorica and Nova Gorica, the festival builds on the momentum of the European Capital of Culture 2025. A key component is the “Brezmejni okusi” (Borderless Flavors) program, held at Europe Square/Transalpina and the EPICenter. The program includes a digital gallery in the Bombije tunnel, museum visits, and creative activities for youth.

In addition to gastronomy, the event includes musical offerings and audiovisual productions. A tourist train will connect Mamelijeva Street with Europe Square to facilitate movement between the various culinary and cultural sites.
