Gorizia announces major food and cultural festivals

The Gorizia region is preparing for two major cultural and gastronomic events that emphasize its cross-border identity. The 21st edition of ‘Gusti di Frontiera’ will take place from September 24 to 27. This food and wine festival features 17 thematic villages and approximately 300 stands showcasing culinary traditions from various continents. A ‘Borderless Village’ will connect Gorizia with Nova Gorica via a free shuttle service, and local cultural sites will host special exhibitions.

Following this, the ‘Frontiere – Dove i mondi si incontrano’ festival will be held from October 2 to 4. Building on the legacy of the European Capital of Culture 2025, this multidisciplinary festival explores themes of identity, geopolitics, and history. The program includes lectures at the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi, featuring experts discussing topics such as China-USA relations and Zionism/Diaspora, alongside various artistic performances in theater, music, and cinema.
