Gorontalo institutions observe Maulid Nabi with traditional Walima

Various institutions in Gorontalo, Indonesia, observed the Maulid Nabi Muhammad celebrations through local traditions.

At the Gorontalo Class II A Prison, inmates participated in religious activities and competitions, including 14 'tolangga' contests involving various residential blocks. Prison Head Junaidi Rison stated that these programs aim to integrate inmates with society, fostering togetherness and social acceptance for when they return to their communities. The event included active participation from inmates' families.

Simultaneously, at UIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, government employees with work agreements (PPPK) contributed 'Walima' to the Maulid Nabi commemoration at the campus mosque. The practical approach used by the PPPK staff received appreciation from university leadership and is expected to serve as a model for future religious celebrations on campus.
