Gorontalo Police raid illegal gold mining site in Bone Bolango

The Gorontalo Regional Police (Polda Gorontalo) have detained nine individuals suspected of conducting unauthorized gold mining and processing activities in Tilangobula Village, Suwawa Timur District, Bone Bolango Regency.

During the enforcement action on September 25, 2026, authorities seized 21 items of evidence, including 5 kg of mercury, acid, blowers, carbon, borax, and various processing tools. Investigators have upgraded the case from an inquiry to a formal investigation. Preliminary findings suggest the processing site is owned by an individual identified as CYN.
