Gorontalo Province launches vehicle tax and penalty waiver

The Gorontalo Provincial Government has launched a program to waive vehicle tax principal amounts and penalties in celebration of Indonesia's 81st Independence Day. The initiative, formalized through Governor's Decree Number 325/28/VII/2026, aims to assist residents and optimize regional revenue.

Regional Secretary Sofian Ibrahim encouraged citizens to utilize this amnesty at local tax service units (UPTD-P3D) or through Bapenda information services. He noted that Gorontalo has seen positive economic growth of 6.20%, surpassing the national average of 5.29%, and expressed hope that the tax program would support the community while strengthening regional financial stability.
