Goryeong to host National Heritage Night at Jisan-dong Tumuli

Goryeong-gun and the Goryeong Cultural Tourism Foundation will host the ‘2026 Goryeong National Heritage Night’ from September 4 to 6. The event will take place between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM around the Jisan-dong Tumuli, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Daegaya History Theme Tourist Site.

Under the theme ‘Daegaya: Beautiful Night,’ the festival features eight themed programs: night views, night history, night stories, night roads, night paintings, night markets, night snacks, and night stays. Highlights include the ‘Daegaya Nakwha-nori’ firework display on September 5 to celebrate the third anniversary of the site's World Heritage listing, as well as performances such as the ‘Fire Goblin Performance’ and ‘The Candle in Goryeong.’

To support the local economy, a ‘Daegaya Night Market’ will offer flea markets and food stalls, with events allowing visitors to exchange local consumption receipts for regional specialties. The festival coincides with the ‘2026 World Heritage Festival - Gaya Tumuli’ held near the Daegaya Museum.
