Minas Gerais government rolls out free service fairs in Governador Valadares and Passos

The state of Minas Gerais' "Governo Presente" program deployed mobile "Praça de Serviços" units to bring free public assistance to interior municipalities. On June 9‑10 the unit set up in Passos, delivering 8,257 free attendances—including identity documents, vehicle registration help, digital‑government account support, human and animal vaccinations, pet neutering and agricultural advice—bringing the initiative's total to 125,803 services since late March.

The same program arrived in Governador Valadares on June 18‑19, installing a kiosk at Praça Dr. João Paulo Pinheiro (Praça da Estação). Residents could obtain documents, receive vaccinations, update resumés, learn to block mobile phones, get first‑aid guidance, obtain the autism‑spectrum identification card (CIPTEA), schedule vehicle services and more, all at no cost. The outreach effort, now active in 19 cities across Minas Gerais, aims to strengthen federal‑state dialogue, improve institutional presence and tailor public policies to local needs.

Since its launch, the initiative has served more than 125,000 citizens across the state, providing essential services to populations that might otherwise face barriers to access.
