Governor Abdulrahman Sheikh Inspects Aden Sanitation Fund
Yemen's governor of the capital Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh, conducted an inspection of the city's Sanitation and City Improvement Fund on Sunday. During the visit he met with the fund's director, Salem Alawi, and received a detailed briefing on current operations, revenue collection, ongoing challenges, and planned field programmes. Sheikh toured multiple departments, reviewing task assignments, field‑team coordination, progress on waste collection and removal, and the status of equipment and maintenance, including pending spare‑part supplies and new vehicles slated for procurement.
The governor praised the staff for their efforts despite limited resources and stressed that keeping the city clean is a shared responsibility between authorities and the public. He called for continued civic awareness and proper upkeep of public facilities to present Aden as a model of cleanliness and organization.
