Governor Adeleke faces scrutiny over reported support for Tinubu campaign

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is facing scrutiny regarding his political alignment following reports that he has been appointed as the Osun State coordinator for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign.

Abdulrazaq Oyelami, an Accord Party chieftain, defended the governor’s reported support for Tinubu, alleging that the Federal Government has withheld local government allocations from Osun State for political reasons. Oyelami claimed that Adeleke’s cooperation is a necessary measure to secure the release of these funds for the benefit of state residents.

However, Accord Party leaders in Lagos State have expressed concern over the move. In an open letter, party officials Oke Sewedo and Oladeji Oluwatosin urged Adeleke to clarify his loyalty, warning that his involvement in the Tinubu campaign could undermine the electoral prospects of Accord candidates in future elections.
