Axel Kicillof calls for preparation ahead of historic Argentine election

Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof addressed a virtual meeting titled “Por una Santa Fe y por una Argentina con Futuro” held in Fighiera, southern Santa Fe. The gathering gathered local mayors, municipal presidents, union leaders and other regional figures.

Kicillof warned that the country is moving toward a “historic election” and urged citizens to strengthen political organization ahead of the upcoming vote. He criticized the policies of the national government, warning of risks to industry, employment and the national patrimony, and linked the call to countering the agenda of President Javier Milei. He emphasized the need to combat apathy, noting strong enthusiasm across the country. The event also featured a presentation by Buenos Aires Security Minister Javier Alonso on public safety management.

Overall, Kicillof’s remarks aimed to mobilise the Santa Fe region and the broader nation in preparation for what he described as a decisive electoral moment for Argentina’s future.
