Governor Axel Kicillof visits Corrientes as Buenos Aires mayors forge local alliances
Governor Axel Kicillof of Buenos Aires Province travelled to Corrientes to launch his new book “De Smith a Keynes” and sign a cooperation agreement with Radical leader Juan Pablo Valdés. The pact covers inter‑ministerial collaboration on security, agricultural development and governance, and was announced by provincial officials amid claims the visit is not election‑related.
In the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, San Vicente Mayor Nicolás Mantegazza visited Moreno Mayor Mariel Fernández. The pair toured the Moreno II industrial park, the municipal asphalt plant and the Diego Armando Maradona sports centre, exchanging ideas on boosting small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises, public‑works funding and community facilities. Both officials emphasized shared Peronist values and the intent to replicate successful policies across municipalities.
These visits illustrate ongoing efforts by Argentine sub‑national leaders to build political coalitions and coordinate development initiatives ahead of future provincial elections.
