Governor Carlos Sadir meets Puna officials to coordinate priority projects
On 6‑7 July 2026 Governor Carlos Sadir chaired a work meeting in La Quiaca with La Quiaca mayor Dante Velázquez and eight municipal commissioners from Puna communities, including Abel Santos (Cieneguillas), Luis Condori (Yavi), Fernando Ariel Cussi (Puesto del Marqués), Héctor Martiarena (Pumahuasi), Federico Vargas (El Cóndor), Rubén Armella (Barrios), Jaquelin Llampa (Minas Pirquitas) and Víctor Vilte (Cangrejillos). Provincial officials who attended were Infrastructure Minister Carlos Stanic, Territorial Secretary Eduardo Cazón and water‑service heads Juan Carlos García and Luis Jure.
The participants reviewed community needs and set a joint agenda for infrastructure, water provision, habitat planning, health, education and security. Sadir emphasized that “maintaining close management of the territory and direct dialogue with local governments is essential to advance an articulated work agenda.” The mayor called the session a significant step for technical exchange and priority‑setting, while municipal representatives praised the opportunity to present concrete demands and seek concrete responses.
The meeting reaffirmed the Jujuy provincial government's commitment to travel across municipalities, coordinate planning, and ensure continuity of priority projects for the Puna region.
