Governor Daniel Vilela delivers R$108 million of vehicles and aid to Goiás municipalities

Governor Daniel Vilela of Goiás handed over more than 170 vehicles, 700 electric bicycles, 212 wheelchairs, ultrasound machines and other health equipment to 156 municipalities, completing the third phase of the Programa Goiás do Crescimento e do Empreendedorismo. The state invested R$108 million from the Treasury, with deliveries coordinated by the State Secretariat of Institutional Relations (Serint) and the Health Secretariat (SES). Vehicles included cars, trucks, tractors, micro‑buses and ambulances, aimed at strengthening health, mobility and local economic development.

In parallel, the government continued its Goiás Social outreach, opening a two‑day service hub in Morrinhos that provided free health checks, document issuance, job vacancies and distribution of more than a thousand social benefits such as wheelchairs and infant supplies. The governor highlighted the program as a national reference for social protection.

The event also drew political attention: former deputy José Mário Schreiner was given a prominent seat, fueling speculation that he may be Vilela’s running mate in the upcoming state elections.
