Governor Daniel Vilela Champions Northeast Goiás Development Ahead of 2026 Election
On July 11, Governor Daniel Vilela launched the sixth edition of Pra Frente Goiás in Campos Belos, praising a series of infrastructure, health, education and social investments that have transformed the state’s Northeast. He highlighted the R$2.8 billion Aclara Resources mining project, an irrigated fruit‑culture initiative with Israeli partnership, new polyclinics in Posse and Campos Belos, the delivery of 455 zero‑cost homes, and security spending of more than R$11 million, urging voters to keep these gains by re‑electing him. Vilela also endorsed former governor Ronaldo Caiado’s presidential bid, calling for an “integral leader” for Brazil.
Earlier, on July 8, business leaders from Goiás met with presidential pre‑candidates at the CNC’s Agenda dos Presidenciáveis 2026 in Brasília. Ex‑governors Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema presented their economic visions and discussed policies to boost competitiveness and job creation. A contemporaneous poll indicated Vilela leading the race for the state governorship.
