Governor David Monreal Oversees Modernization of Zacatecas' Parque Arroyo de la Plata
Governor David Monreal Ávila inspected the ongoing modernization of the Parque Arroyo de la Plata "Ramón López Velarde" in Zacatecas, a public works project funded with more than 91.8 million pesos. The complex spans 7,361.11 square metres and includes a newly built gym, gastronomic terraces, and a southern access point.
The gym, covering 788.99 sq m, is complete, while the gastronomic terraces—4,123.96 sq m—have reached 45 % physical progress and 44.58 % financial execution, with an investment of 56.7 million pesos. The south access, 2,448.16 sq m, is 91 % finished. The project, launched on 14 January 2026, is slated for completion on 22 September 2026 and aims to serve 308,473 residents of Zacatecas and Guadalupe municipalities.
Officials highlighted the project's role in reclaiming the space from illegal occupations and improving health and sanitation standards, signaling a broader effort to enhance public amenities for the local population.
