Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar launches peace rally and water projects in Pantelhó, Chiapas

Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar headed a Jornada por la Paz in Pantelhó, Chiapas, declaring that the municipality has moved beyond a long‑standing period of violence and is now entering a phase of peace, prosperity and rule of law. He pledged continued actions to protect children, adolescents and women and to strengthen community transformation.

The governor announced the start of potable‑water systems for the localities of San José del Carmen and La Esmeralda, describing the projects as vital for public health and productivity. Government secretary Dulce María Rodríguez Ovando highlighted the municipality’s shift from neglect to prosperity, while interim military commander Antonio Ramírez Escobedo praised the initiative and the broader weapons‑destruction program as steps toward a safer environment.
