Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar launches school upgrades, electricity network and women's centers in Chiapas

Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar visited the Chiapas municipalities of Rincón Chamula and Rayón, announcing a series of public‑service projects. New classrooms were inaugurated at the primary schools Francisco Javier Mina and 5 de Mayo, with an investment of 4.7 million pesos benefitting 641 students.

The first phase of an electric‑distribution network in the Barrio Centro was also launched, funded with more than 7.3 million pesos and set to serve over 7,400 residents. A second phase, costing over 12 million pesos, will extend service to the La Tejería neighbourhood, bringing total electrification spending in the town to more than 20 million pesos.

In addition, the governor opened two LIBRE centres of the Programa de Atención Integral para el Bienestar de las Mujeres (PAIBIM), aimed at providing psychological, legal and economic support to women, girls and adolescents in their native language. The governor stressed his commitment, saying, “Estoy pendiente de los pueblos para escuchar sus peticiones de viva voz, porque estamos convencidos de que nos debemos a la gente. Nuestro mayor deseo es servir a Chiapas.”
