Governor Eduardo Ramírez boosts Chiapas Civil Protection assets for rainy season

Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar handed over 16 trucks fitted with Starlink antennas and Airbus communication systems, along with 320‑type heavy machinery, to regional delegations of the Chiapas Secretariat of Civil Protection on 16 June 2026. The equipment is intended to improve emergency response, road clearing and flood mitigation during the upcoming rainy season.

Ramírez also announced a salary increase for civil‑protection personnel performing high‑risk duties, describing it as an ethical commitment to those who risk their lives for the public. He highlighted additional projects such as expanding the ambulance network in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Tapachula and strengthening a statewide anti‑seismic alert system.

The delivery was attended by officials from the state government, the anti‑corruption secretariat, and representatives of the civil‑protection units, who thanked the governor for the new resources.
