Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres Announces $100 M Gas and Housing Projects for Tecka

Governor Ignacio “Nacho” Torres of Argentina’s Chubut Province marked the 105th anniversary of Tecka by signing multiple agreements to boost infrastructure and public services. The conventions include the extension of the natural‑gas network that will make Tecka the first locality in Chubut where every household has gas, benefitting more than 12,000 families across the region. The projects, valued at over $100 million and co‑financed with the neighboring provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén, also cover the construction of new homes through the “Tecka Mi Hogar” program, the completion of 11 municipal‑funded houses, and the renovation of the town’s bus terminal to add commercial spaces. Torres emphasized that these works aim to provide equal opportunities, keep young people in the community, and improve overall quality of life.
