Axel Kicillof criticizes Milei's economic policies in Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof has criticized President Javier Milei’s economic policies during visits to La Matanza and Zárate. Kicillof argued that the national government’s focus on macroeconomics and financial speculation has caused significant hardship for citizens, leading to job losses in industries like metallurgy and difficulties for families to meet basic needs.
In La Matanza, Kicillof highlighted the struggles of local community centers and soup kitchens, accusing the Milei administration of cutting resources and lacking sensitivity toward the population. He also noted that the national government’s policies are contributing to economic stagnation and increased debt.
Separately, in a local municipality, officials reported having to use their own funds to purchase rabies vaccines after a month-long lack of supplies from the National Ministry of Health, despite national laws requiring the state to provide them for free.
