Governor Monday Okpebholo’s Initiatives Praised by NEC and Labor Unions

The National Economic Council (NEC) Implementation Monitoring Committee commended the Edo State government for its commitment to improving residents’ lives, noting that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration has achieved significant progress within two years. The committee highlighted the near‑completion of the Ramat Park Flyover, a project aimed at decongesting traffic and facilitating business activity.

The Edo State Council of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) also praised Okpebholo for appointing John Odior as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS). They cited improvements such as timely payment of staff salaries, regularisation of ad‑hoc personnel, office upgrades and a sustained increase in internally generated revenue.
