Governor Raquel Lyra launches multi‑million infrastructure and housing projects in Pernambuco

Governor Raquel Lyra (PSD) oversaw several public‑works initiatives in Pernambuco over the weekend. In Pesqueira she delivered a desalination unit for the Xukuru community, upgraded the sports court at the Indigenous School Ororubá and announced a R$ 1.8 million road‑paving plan for five local streets.

In Olinda she handed over 378 renovated homes and 141 property titles in the Vila das Mulheres Pedreiras neighbourhood, and authorized about R$ 140 million for mobility, slope‑containment and urban‑requalification works throughout the Recife metropolitan area, including smart traffic‑light upgrades and terminal improvements.

Later, during the 15th night of the São João festival in Arcoverde, Lyra met with mayor Zeca Cavalcanti and state officials, reaffirming the partnership between the municipal administration and the state government.
