Governor Raquel Lyra unveils Orocó projects and defends medical aircraft purchase

Pernambuco Governor Raquel Lyra is scheduled to visit the municipality of Orocó on 17 June, where Mayor Ismael Lira confirmed a slate of investments. The agenda includes authorising the start of road works for the long‑awaited Projeto Brígida, construction of five agro‑villages, opening a full‑time elementary school, inaugurating a community kitchen, paving 31 streets in the town centre and initiating a tender for a new public square.

A separate report highlighted that the governor has been using a King Air 260 aircraft bought for R$ 64.3 million in July 2025, ostensibly to expand aeromedical transport in the state. The plane, delivered in December 2025, has been employed for official political trips, prompting scrutiny over its use.
