Governor Tere Jiménez opens water wells in Jesús María, irrigation system in Cosío
Aguascalientes Governor Tere Jiménez visited the municipalities of Jesús María and Cosío to deliver new hydraulic infrastructure. In Jesús María three potable‑water wells were inaugurated in the Tepetates, La Cañada and Buena Vista areas, benefitting more than 17,800 residents with a flow of 9‑12 liters per second. The projects, part of an investment exceeding 39 million pesos, include electromechanical equipment, chlorine stations, valve trains and expanded distribution lines.
In Cosío the governor activated a technified irrigation system at Technical Secondary School No. 9 and provided agricultural supports such as compost, crop‑reconversion resources and assistance to livestock producers. The initiative also involved the formal donation of a 30,000 m² state parcel for a new municipal cemetery, "Jardines de la Vid Eterna," with an initial construction outlay of 4.7 million pesos.
