Goya Awards 2026 achieve record viewership in Spain
The 2026 Goya Awards ceremony, held at the Auditori Forum CCIB in Barcelona, achieved record-breaking viewership in Spain. The gala, hosted by Rigoberta Bandini and Luis Tosar, drew an average of 2,396,000 viewers on TVE’s La 1, marking the highest audience figures in three years.
The event secured a 26% screen share, the best performance for the awards since 2020, and outperformed the previous edition by 1.6 points. The ceremony also established its largest historical lead over competing programs, with an 18.5-point share advantage. Peak viewership occurred at 23:01, attracting 2,808,000 people with a 25.4% share.
Demographic data showed strong engagement among viewers aged 13 to 24 (37.6%) and 25 to 44 (32.5%). Additionally, the red carpet special reached 1,048,000 viewers, while the RTVE Play streaming platform recorded 305,264 users.
