Goya Awards viewership and hosting updates

Overview

The 2026 Goya Awards, held in Barcelona, achieved record-breaking viewership in Spain. The ceremony averaged 2,396,000 viewers on TVE’s La 1, representing a 26% screen share and the highest audience figures for the event in three years.

Following the 2026 edition, Pamplona has been selected to host the 41st Goya Awards on February 6, 2027, at the Navarra Arena. This move represents the first time the ceremony will be held in northern Spain as part of an effort by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain to decentralize the event from Madrid.
