Goyang Mayor holds first policy meeting with local lawmakers

Goyang Mayor Min Kyung-sun held her first official policy meeting with four local National Assembly members to address critical municipal issues. The discussion focused on 20 key agenda items, including the normalization of K-Culture Valley, the extension of Incheon Line 2 to Goyang, and the establishment of Hyangdong Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line.

The city requested support for 12 specific tasks to strengthen its self-sufficiency, such as reflecting industrial volumes for Deokeun-dong in the Changneung district and cooperating on the designation of a Free Economic Zone. Mayor Min emphasized the need for continuous cooperation to overcome regulatory hurdles and secure national budget support for large-scale infrastructure projects.
