Goyang Special City launches resident communication forums

Goyang Special City Mayor Min Kyung-sun has launched the ‘2026 Open Resident Communication Empathy Talk’ initiative, beginning with visits to the Ilsan 1 and Ilsan 2 neighborhoods. The program is designed to gather resident feedback through both pre-submitted suggestions and spontaneous on-site discussions.

During the sessions, residents raised various local issues, including sidewalk expansions near Hyunsan Middle School, the installation of crime prevention CCTV in areas with vacant houses, and requests for improved public transportation and fitness facilities in Sandeul Village. Mayor Min personally addressed these concerns based on reviews from relevant municipal departments and conducted site visits to inspect specific locations mentioned by citizens.

The city plans to continue this tour across all 44 administrative neighborhoods within Goyang to ensure resident voices are integrated into municipal administration.
