GP Krk begins construction on 151 million euro A7 motorway section
Construction has officially commenced on the 5.2-kilometer Križišće–Jadranovo section of the A7 motorway in Croatia. The project, valued at approximately 151 million euros excluding VAT, is being executed by the company GP Krk.
The construction period is set for 36 months and includes the building of a dual-tube Križišće tunnel, two viaducts, and two underpasses. This project is part of the broader development of the Adriatic-Ionian Corridor.
Minister of Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure Oleg Butković noted that the Križišće–Žuta Lokva section remains one of the final unbuilt parts of the Croatian portion of the corridor. Funding of 400 million euros has been secured for two sections, including the route to Jadranovo and the motorway toward Dubrovnik, which is currently in the contractor selection process. Additionally, construction on the Jadranovo–Selce section is expected to begin within a few months following the issuance of building permits.
