GPS signal interference reported in northern Poland
Persistent GPS and GNSS signal interference has been reported in the Pomerania region of Poland. Data analyzed by the technology company Blue Dot Solutions indicates that in July 2026 alone, signal disruptions occurred for at least 90 hours.
The interference affects both military and civilian infrastructure, impacting smartphone navigation, food delivery services, electric scooters, public transport, and drone operations. Experts warn that the widespread use of global digital equipment makes these disruptions a significant threat to daily life.
Monitoring stations in Gdańsk have determined that the interference does not originate from the south or west. Analysis suggests the source is located to the north or northeast of Gdańsk, pointing toward Russian electronic warfare centers, likely near the Kaliningrad Oblast. In response to these ongoing attacks, Blue Dot Solutions has begun implementing a network of monitoring stations to track signal jamming and spoofing activities.
