Grab expands autonomous shuttle service in Singapore and pilots self‑driving programs in Vietnam

Grab has launched Singapore’s first free autonomous‑vehicle passenger service in the Punggol residential estate. Partnering with Chinese firm WeRide, the Ai.R shuttles have completed more than 4,000 rides and over 50,000 km of driverless mileage. Riders can book slots online and receive a S$5 voucher for local dining deals, as well as a 10% discount on Grab rides within Punggol.

In Vietnam, Grab’s Chief Organization Capability Officer Chin Yin Ong announced plans to pilot autonomous vehicles and delivery robots, and pledged long‑term investment in the country’s smart‑mobility ecosystem. The company aims to install a nationwide network of 6,000 shared electric‑vehicle charging points by 2027 and to integrate public transport with the Grab app. Grab already operates GrabBike, GrabFood and GrabTaxi in Vietnam, and reported 2025 revenue of $3.37 billion, with Vietnam contributing $255 million.
