Grab invests in EBOOST to boost Vietnam's EV charging network

Grab announced a strategic investment in Vietnamese electric‑vehicle charging platform EBOOST, reinforcing a memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies last November. Before the deal, EBOOST operated more than 2,500 public charging points and served over 10,000 electric‑vehicle users nationwide.

The investment will deepen financial resources for EBOOST to expand its network across Vietnam and to integrate charging services into Grab’s driver applications. Since April, the Grab Driver app has enabled partner drivers to locate nearby stations, start charging sessions and complete payments in‑app. Early results show more than 70 % of driver‑partners continued using the service within the first week, indicating strong engagement. The partnership also plans to extend the seamless charging experience to electric motorbike drivers and to add thousands of additional charging points.
