Gramado announces new sports complex and weather monitoring for Natal Luz

Gramado is expanding its infrastructure and event safety measures. The city will implement 24-hour meteorological monitoring for the Nativitaten spectacle during the 41st Natal Luz festival, scheduled from October 22, 2026, to January 17, 2027. Gramadotur has contracted Metos Brasil and Tempo OK for a total of R$ 44,217 to provide an automatic weather station and short-term forecasting services. This measure aims to protect sensitive electronic systems, pyrotechnics, and large-scale structures from the region's microclimate, while ensuring the safety of thousands of spectators.

Additionally, the city will host the Arena Gramadense, the first multi-use sports complex in the Serra Gaúcha region. Developed by the Centro Esportivo Gramadense in partnership with Hawi Group, the R$ 40 million project is situated on 15 hectares of native araucaria forest. The arena is designed to accommodate over 20,000 people for shows, festivals, and conventions, in addition to football matches. The facility will feature a 4,200 m² field and a mix of fixed and mobile seating for up to 5,500 spectators.
