Tourism and 41st Natal Luz festival in Gramado

Overview

Tourism in Gramado, Brazil, continues to focus on seasonal cold-weather activities and major cultural festivals. Preparations for the 41st Natal Luz festival, running from October 22, 2026, to January 17, 2027, have entered the final stages. The event’s theme emphasizes light, sound, and movement, utilizing nearly 4 million LED points and over 2,300 lamps. The decoration, designed by Claudya Chanas, incorporates a red, white, and gold palette with a focus on sustainability through the reuse of PET bottles.

New programming includes ‘O Brilho do Natal by LightWire,’ an immersive show at the Palácio dos Festivais featuring fiber optic costumes, and ‘Natal Luz In Concert’ with the Gramado Symphony Orchestra. Due to ongoing revitalization on Avenida das Hortênsias, the Grande Desfile de Natal has relocated to the Expogramado event center. To ensure safety during the Nativitaten spectacle at Serra Park, Gramadotur has implemented 24-hour meteorological monitoring to protect electronic systems and pyrotechnics from the local microclimate.

To support the local community, the ‘Troca Solidária’ initiative has released an additional 900 tickets for residents and workers to obtain via food kit donations. Additionally, the city is expanding its infrastructure with the development of Arena Gramadense, a R$ 40 million multi-use sports complex designed to accommodate over 20,000 people for shows and conventions.
