Gramado, Brazil boosts tourism with new Vinícius Júnior wax statue and year‑round festivals

Gramado, a city in Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha, continues to cement its reputation as a premier tourist destination. The city hosts a calendar of events that run throughout the year, including the internationally recognized Festival de Cinema de Gramado in August and the festive Natal Luz celebration from October to January, as well as music, chocolate, winter and gastronomy festivals that draw visitors from across the country. Its preserved Alpine‑style architecture, rural tourism experiences with local farms, vineyards and artisanal producers, and cinema‑themed attractions further diversify its appeal.

In a recent addition to its cultural offerings, the Dreamland Wax Museum in Gramado unveiled a life‑size wax figure of Brazil national‑team forward Vinícius Júnior. The sculpture replicates the player's exact measurements and was crafted by a London studio before being installed in the museum’s reception area to engage visitors during the World Cup period. The museum, the first of its kind in Latin America, now features over 100 figures across 20 themed rooms, reinforcing Gramado’s draw for both sports fans and tourists alike.
