Gramado expects 110,000 visitors during holiday weekend

Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, is experiencing a high volume of tourism during the long holiday weekend from October 9 to October 12. The Gramado Tourism Observatory projects approximately 110,000 unique visitors, with about 65,000 expected to stay at least one night. This influx is anticipated to boost the local hospitality, gastronomy, and retail sectors, with projections exceeding 150,000 overnight stays.

Despite foggy conditions and light rain, the city remains busy. The holiday period was extended for many due to the October 12 holiday falling on a Monday, alongside early school breaks for Teacher's Day.

Preparations are also underway for the 41st edition of Natal Luz. Over 50 professionals, including muralists and artisans, have been working since August to construct the scenery and 11 floats for the Grande Desfile de Natal, utilizing urban art techniques to enhance the event's visual appeal.
