Gramado Film Festival celebrates winners and career honors

The 54th edition of the Gramado Film Festival has reached its final stages, celebrating significant achievements in Brazilian cinema. Notable honors include the Kikito de Cristal awarded to Selton Mello and Maria Fernanda Cândido for their career contributions. Actress Andrea Beltrão received the Troféu Oscarito.

In the regional competition for Rio Grande do Sul films, the documentary ‘Filhas da Lua’, directed by Tatiana Sager, emerged as a major winner, securing both the technical jury award and the popular vote. Other winners in this category included ‘A História Mais Triste do Mundo’ for direction and screenplay, and ‘Remanente – Voltagem’ for best actress.

The festival also highlighted the directorial debut of Grace Passô with ‘Nosso Segredo’, a film exploring themes of grief and Black identity, which received an enthusiastic reception. The event concluded with the screening of ‘La Perra’, an international co-production directed by Dominga Sotomayor and starring Selton Mello, shown outside the main competition.
