Brazil's 54th Gramado Film Festival, held in the Serra Gaúcha from 12‑22 August, will present special tributes to actor Selton Mello, known for "Ainda Estou Aqu", and actress Maria Fernanda Cândido, star of "O Agente Secreto". The opening will feature the world premiere of "Antártida", a drama set at a Brazilian scientific base in the South Pole, produced by Globo and directed by Bruno Safadi.

In addition, the Festival de Cinema de Vitória in Espírito Santo will honor actress Camila Morgado with the Troféu Vitória and a biographical booklet. Morgado, recognized for roles in "Olga", "Avenida Brasil" and "Bom dia, Verônica", will receive the award on 20 July. Both festivals spotlight prominent Brazilian talent and showcase upcoming national productions.
