Gran Jujuy expands to seven municipalities via new agreement
The municipalities of El Carmen and Monterrico have officially joined Gran Jujuy through a framework agreement for reciprocal collaboration. This expansion brings the total number of participating municipalities in the integration space to seven, including San Salvador de Jujuy, Yala, Palpalá, Perico, and San Antonio.
During the signing ceremony in El Carmen, San Salvador de Jujuy Mayor Raúl ‘Chuli’ Jorge and Governor Carlos Sadir emphasized that the agreement aims to address shared public policy challenges that transcend administrative boundaries. The collaboration focuses on improving institutional and practical links in areas such as transportation, waste management, environmental protection, mental health, and general community welfare. The integrated group represents approximately 60% of the province's population.
