Gran Turismo 7 receives update 1.71 with new cars and events

Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment have released update 1.71 for Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The free update introduces four new vehicles: the 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V, the 1997 Toyota Mark II Tourer V, the 2008 Caterham Seven Superlight R500, and the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N.

In addition to the new cars, the update adds three new World Circuit events located at Kyoto Driving Park (Yamagiwa), Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (GP layout without chicanes), and the Suzuka Circuit. The Scapes photography mode has also been expanded to include a new location at Whistler in Canada.

Technical adjustments included in the patch address driving physics, steering, and force feedback. Some community feedback noted that the two Toyota models share the same chassis and engine, leading to discussions regarding the variety of the new content.
