Granada earthquake activity prompts nursing safety guidance

Following approximately 1,075 tremors in the province of Granada since August 14, including over 250 with an intensity exceeding 1.5, the General Council of Nursing (CGE) has issued guidance for earthquake safety and response.

Florentino Pérez Raya, president of the CGE, emphasized the critical role of nursing professionals in providing health education, first aid, and emotional support to vulnerable populations during seismic events. The council noted that nurses are essential in preventing the collapse of healthcare services during such emergencies. In response to the situation, the Nursing College of Granada (Codegra) has activated various action lines to support and guide the local population.
